2016-2018: Project Information

Quality assurance through international human resource development of teachers with the aim to promote students’ competences in globalised labour markets

Project (2016-2018): 2016-1-DE02-KA102-002844

Project summary:

Markets are increasingly becoming interconnected and thus international business relationships play a key role in today's world of work. Accordingly, prospective employees have to be equipped with numerous key competences in order to gain a foothold into current labour markets and to be able to adapt to the ongoing challenges of change.

Therefore, it is our strategic goal to increase our students' employment outlook and offer them the opportunity to gather job experiences in Europe and also to promote independence, flexibility and intercultural awareness.

In order to realize this goal, 6 teachers need to be prepared and trained. The teachers are selected according to their prior experience and knowledge by a team of coordinators. In the course of a job-shadowing programme the teachers will get to know the vocational institutions of our partner school Tietgen in Odense (Denmark) and will also get to know the differences and special vocational requirements in the Danish VET sector. Moreover, the teachers will identify training possibilities for our vocational and full-time students to either do a part of their apprenticeship or work placement in Denmark. On this basis the teachers will develop a pedagogical concept in order to realize visits abroad for our students in the future.

In this way the awareness of European interconnectedness of our teachers shall be improved and shall strengthen their self-confidence in order to prepare and accompany our students' visits abroad. Besides, it is our aim to develop and expand our cooperation with the VET college Tietgen in Odense.

Last but not least we would like to increase our students' employability in domestic and foreign labour markets in accordance with our mission statement and due to this we hope to strengthen our international profile of our school and the quality of our teaching.
